Youth Perspectives on Just Transition in Ida-Virumaa project has started

MTÜ Noorteaeg has started the project “Youth Perspectives on Just Transition in Ida-Virumaa”, which gives young people an opportunity to explore how local residents experience changes connected with climate policy, energy transition, employment and the future of the region.

During the first stage of the project, a core group of approximately 15 young people aged 15–23 is being formed in Narva-Jõesuu and Ida-Virumaa. The participants will first take part in learning sessions and then conduct community dialogues with local residents. Their task will be to collect different perspectives, identify common concerns and better understand how regional changes affect everyday life.

Later in the project, the collected views will be analysed by the youth group and used for a public exhibition and dialogue with local decision-makers.

The project is implemented by MTÜ Noorteaeg through the Funding Fairer Futures programme with support from the European Union.
