Ida-Viru Youth Changemakers: Academy, Dialogue Forums and Regional Youth Summit

The project empowers young people in Ida-Virumaa to develop leadership, participation and cooperation skills while actively contributing to the future of their region. Activities include a youth academy, dialogue forums with decision-makers and a regional youth summit.

Youth Participation / Just Transition

Youth Perspectives on Just Transition in Ida-Virumaa

The project empowers young people to explore how residents of Ida-Virumaa experience the just transition and bring community perspectives into dialogue with local decision-makers. Young participants will conduct interviews, create a public exhibition and engage directly with the Narva-Jõesuu municipality.

Youth Democracy and Active Participation Programme

The project helps young people better understand democracy, civic engagement and participation in society. During the summer, participants will gain new knowledge and create their own democracy-focused youth initiative for young people in the region.

Youth-led Winter Celebration in Narva-Jõesuu

A youth team planned and delivered a winter celebration for the town, including a children’s programme, youth activities, stage performances, contests, music, a disco and an evening show.

Green Future: Youth Study Trip to Denmark and Sweden

The study trip to Karlskrona and Copenhagen gave young people first-hand experience of youth centres, schools, green urban solutions, cycling infrastructure, adaptive reuse and circular economy practices.

Green Community Events in Ida-Virumaa Schools

Two free family events in Narva-Jõesuu and Sinimäe schools combined workshops, games, family relay activities, short talks, a green digital area and the contribution of young volunteers.

Roheline Start: Family Day in Narva-Jõesuu

A large free family day near Narva-Jõesuu school brought together environmental workshops, a science show, family contests, public-service demonstrations, attractions, cotton candy and participants’ green promises.

The project connected a cleanup and environmental workshops near Narva-Jõesuu Youth Centre with a large family day in Sinimäe on Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day.

Children’s Day by the Narva-Jõesuu Lighthouse

The Children’s Day project combined a family programme by the lighthouse, an environmental quest for school pupils, a cleanup near the lighthouse and the work of young volunteers.

MTÜ Noorteaeg organises and delivers youth, family and community projects in Narva-Jõesuu, Narva, Sillamäe and Ida-Virumaa. Our active and completed initiatives help young people gain practical experience, take part in town life and create events that bring local people together.

The projects include youth organising schools, town events, study trips, family days, environmental activities and international cooperation initiatives. Each project is connected to the local community and gives young people a chance to turn ideas into real action.
