Details
Project idea
Many young people have ideas and motivation to improve their communities but often lack the skills, experience and opportunities to engage with decision-makers. This project creates a practical platform where young people can learn, collaborate and contribute to regional development.
The goal is to strengthen youth participation in community and regional development and empower young people to become active changemakers and partners in decision-making processes.
Main activities
The project includes the Changemakers Academy training programme, where participants will develop leadership, communication and project skills and learn how to turn their ideas into concrete initiatives.
The programme also includes three dialogue forums with decision-makers, workshops and discussions on community development, preparation of youth proposals and a regional youth summit.
Expected results
The project is expected to increase youth participation in community life, improve leadership and cooperation skills and build stronger connections between young people, experts and decision-makers.
A key outcome will be a set of youth proposals for regional development and a more active and engaged youth community in Ida-Virumaa.
Project support
The project is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
