Details
Large family day
Roheline Start was held as a large open family day near Narva-Jõesuu school. Its aim was to combine celebration, useful knowledge, environmental themes and live communication between residents of different ages.
The event was free and designed for a broad audience: children, teenagers, parents, residents and visitors. The area around the school became a place to play, learn, try new things and meet partners.
Programme and partners
The programme included environmental workshops, a science show, family contests, active games, attractions, cotton candy and thematic areas. Participants could not only have fun, but also learn about caring for the environment through simple and understandable actions.
Local partners and public services joined the project, making the family day richer and more practical. Demonstration areas helped children and adults get closer to the people who work in the town and region.
What the project achieved
The event gathered around 600 participants and became one of the most visible family formats of the season. An important result was the involvement of young volunteers and partners who helped create the atmosphere and keep the activity areas running.
The project showed that an environmental theme does not have to be a dry lecture, but can become a lively town event where knowledge, play, family and communication work together.
