Young participants completed the project training phase

The core youth group of the project “Youth Perspectives on Just Transition in Ida-Virumaa” has completed the project’s capacity-building phase.

During July, the young participants took part in three learning sessions focused on climate and energy-related change, just transition in Ida-Virumaa and practical dialogue skills. The sessions helped participants better understand how environmental and economic changes are connected with employment, quality of life and the future of the region.

An important part of the training also focused on communication: how to approach local residents, ask open questions, listen to different opinions and document the main points of each conversation. After completing the training phase, the youth group is now ready to begin community dialogues across Ida-Virumaa.

The project is implemented by MTÜ Noorteaeg through the Funding Fairer Futures programme with support from the European Union.
