Community dialogue phase completed and youth analysis begins

The community dialogue phase of the project “Youth Perspectives on Just Transition in Ida-Virumaa” has been completed.
During August and September, the project’s young participants carried out more than 50 short conversations with local residents about regional change, employment, environment, quality of life and participation in local decision-making.
After completing the interviews, the youth group began reviewing the collected material together. The participants are comparing the answers and identifying topics that appeared repeatedly in different conversations. Initial themes include employment opportunities, the future of young people in Ida-Virumaa, environmental improvements, quality of life and communication between residents and decision-makers.
The analysis will now be used to prepare the next phase of the project, including a public exhibition and future dialogue with local decision-makers. The project is implemented by MTÜ Noorteaeg through the Funding Fairer Futures programme with support from the European Union.
